The Hudson RCI LVE (lung volume exerciser) encourages deep, prolonged inspiration with design. The dual chamber design creates a constant resistance that lifts the ball when the patient maintains inspirations equal to the selected flow setting. The spirometer features a wide flow range from 200 to 12000 cc/sec. The flow settings are clearly marked and adjustable so the patient can do what is right for their ability.
