Get crisp, flat seams on projects of every size with this three-piece pressing set. You get the Large Wool Pressing Mat (17" × 24") for long hems, jelly rolls, and curtains, the Standard Wool Pressing Mat (17" × 13½") for blocks and everyday pressing, and a beechwood Clapper that sets seams, pleats, and creases without burning your fingers. Both mats are 100% natural New Zealand felted wool, so heat comes from both sides at once and your fabric holds its shape. It's a practical set for sewists and quilters who want professional results with less effort.
Why You'll Love It
- Right mat for every job — the large mat handles long hems and yardage; the standard mat is perfect for blocks and quick pressing at your machine.
- Crisp seams, less effort — dense wool absorbs iron heat and presses both sides at once, so you make fewer passes.
- Fabric stays put — the wool's texture grips fabric to deter shifting, puckering, and stretching.
- No more finger burns — the clapper lets you flatten hot seams and pleats by hand, safely.
- Made to travel — both mats are lightweight; the large mat ships with a reusable snap-close vinyl pouch for classes and retreats.

Instructions
- Place the appropriate wool mat on a heat-safe surface (protect wood or delicate surfaces, as steam can pass through).
- Position your fabric or block on the mat and press with your iron; heat is absorbed from both sides.
- For long hems or yardage, use the large mat; for blocks and detail work, use the standard mat.
- Immediately after pressing a seam, hem, pleat, or crease, set the clapper firmly on top.
- Hold 5–10 seconds until the fabric cools — this "sets" the fibers flat and crisp.
- Store the large mat in its vinyl pouch; air-dry mats if they feel damp before putting away.
